Finally finished my create and learn, pencils class from Kit and Clowder.  I have to say the talent of the awesome Alyce Keegan never ceases to amaze me.  I have learned so much from her and in such a short space of time too.  I received my pencils for Christmas and didn't start using them until the New Year,  Oh I mean Prismacolor Premier Pencils lol, Hubs got me the full 150 set.  

I also finished My Mum's box of cards which she received for her Birthday last Friday (13th May) I will edit this post and upload the photo's once I have gotten around to watermarking them.  *EDIT* Not adding to this post, it's all in a new post lol !!!

Can't wait to start my new project now.  I have the markers C & L which I am going to try and convert to pencils, wish me luck on that one lol !  I have also bought heaps of digi's in the past few weeks which I am itching to colour.  Hubs took me to Hobbycraft earlier today and I also went shopping in Live and Love Crafts last night so I have the materials to make lots of new cards for ME lmao !!

Off to play some inane games on Facebook now to wind down before sleep.

Hmmmmmmm

Wondering when things are going to start to go right for us.  Mum was rushed into hospital on Tuesday and will be there until probably the middle of next week.  Initially she was being treated for an ongoing chest infection, now they are saying it's that plus, the MS causing other problems.

The doctor she saw today was an absolute asshole and she phoned me really upset once he'd left.  He told her that all her problems were down to her smoking (she gave up smoking 20+ years ago !!), completely dismissed the MS, saying that he knew nothing about that and then told her she had a digestion problem ... WTF !!!!!!!

To cut an extremely long story short, she can only manage a diet for the moment, of soft foods. Anything hard that she eats, her body doesn't digest and it makes its way back up the food pipe and rests above her lungs, decreasing her lung capacity.  It then seeps back down into her stomach and so on slowly.  It could possibly be the root of her breathing problems AND her eating problems.  I am annoyed that despite copious GP visits over the past year, she has never been sent up to the hospital for further tests. 

AND ... for a doctor to stand there and say he knows nothing about a debilitating disease that she has had for almost 50 years, I am totally disgusted and wondering why he was assigned to her in the first place !!!!

Then I ring her sister tonight to let her know Mum is in hospital, only to find out that Diane is recovering from a nasty fall herself.  Diane had a stroke about 15 years ago which left her paralysed from the waist down.  My Uncle (her Husband) died last June so she lives alone in a Huge house just outside of London.  They had no children together but, she does have 2 step children from Michaels first marriage.  Well actually I may as well stick with the no children part as neither of them bother much with Diane.  I have told her that we will go up there once Mynm is on the mend but, as she lives so far away this is not going to be anytime soon.

Well, that was my day lol !!!!

Have decided to make Mum a 'box of handmade cards' for her Birthday this year.  What do you get the Woman who has everything !!

Have a few stamps already coloured that I will make into cards for her and a few digi stamps that I have my beady eye on lol.

This will be the topper to go on the lid of the box.

Yet another blahhh day.

Today my youngest Son and his Girlfriend split up.  What makes it worse is that she has actually lived here with us for the past 18 months.  For now, she's still here, waiting for a transfer for work back to her home town.  Not really sure how long I can put up with this.  Will just monitor my Son I think and see how all this affects the rest of the Family.  Her Dad does live across the other side of town from us so that could possibly be an option until she gets her transfer.  Whilst I understand the reasons for their break up, it's still hard, especially with both of them trying so hard not to show how much it hurts at the moment.  And of course, much as she drives me to distraction, I gonna miss her !!

*EDIT* 16th June - They have actually Made up and Broken up again, many times since writing this.  As of now they are back together !!!!

On a positive, I finished my dewdrops on leaves today .... 

And started the berries, the one class I have been absolutely dreading lol.  Cherries done and now the dreaded strawberry to tackle tomorrow - wish me luck !!
